The Northeast Recycling Council, Inc. (NERC) holds two events each year in March/April and October/November. 

NERC's Fall 2018 Conference—The Future of MRFs—will be held on October 30th - 31st in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

NERC's events are designed to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn, share ideas, discuss the issues, and network with others. The events are focused on the most timely topics in the source reduction, reuse, recycling, composting, and green purchasing industry sectors.

Attendees include: businesses; federal, state, and municipal environmental officials; recycling trade associations; municipal recycling coordinators and facility operators; school and university recycling coordinators; environmental consultants and non-profit organizations; and public and private sector sustainability coordinators.

Each of NERC's semi-annual events includes a Board of Directors meeting.
